Hallie Helen (halliereads) I know this’ll probably sound strange to some people but when it comes to book to screen adaptations I usually prefer to see the movie or show before reading the book.

It makes me want to read the book more and I also like spoilers lol. I just find it difficult to watch something after I’ve read the book because then I already have it all played out and pictured in my head and if the movie doesn’t go off of my script I tend not to like it.

Please tell me at least one of you have something strange like this with adaptations as well. 😂😂

Yes. There are very few instances where I prefer the movie. I can think of maybe 2. I also don’t mind spoilers (for the most part, unless they are huge whopping spoilers). I watched the movie Silver Linings Playbook and thought it was fine, good even. But then I got angry after reading the book and found the book to be 1000x better and that the movie left out or changed so many important details. I was glad to have watched the movie first.
