52 Weeks of Interpretation The Bandwagon
For the love of it...
just some ideas that popped into my head, lol
Ah, good one Cait! I searched how to adjust it to the challenge this morning and had a hard time.
I like ink your world, but suspect a large number of ebook users. Expanding your world one book at a time. 52 weeks of wonderful words. Readers wanted, apply here. Expand your mind one book(page) at a time. The world on a printing plate. Expanding and shrinking the world at the same time. on the shoulders of giants.
It's funny to associate "ink" with ebooks, for me ink is more related to paper (but works too with some ereaders). Anyway, I'm mostly an ebook user, no problem with more like me :p
I like the giants one but maybe people will be afraid the group reads only doorstop books and it won't be very efficient in a group search.
Thanks for all the ideas :)
I'll update the 1st post with the suggestions.

Bizarrely the group name is appearing in my groups as 2015 fishing challenge! Happening to anyone else?

(Paper fishes sticked with adhesive tape on the back of people are the traditional April Fool for french kids)
so i love the "around the year in 52 books" and my twist for that would have to bethrough the library in 52 topics"
Zaz wrote: "(Paper fishes sticked with adhesive tape on the back of people are the traditional April Fool for french kids)"I didn't know that Zaz. It is so cool to learn about other traditions.
I agree Christine. French traditions are usually a little weird and different (we don't have a tooth fairy, we have "the little mouse"...) so it was really fun for me to discover the english ones.

Jennifer wrote: "Bookaholics anonymous"would that be the 52 steps to recovery? or 52 steps to a deeper addiction?
I like the idea of that Cybersekkin! A 52-Step Program ... but you're right I don't think any of us want to recover!
My suggestion for a group name would be:Annual 52 Book Reading Challenge
Simple and straightforward.
I'm not sure if people will like this suggestion, but I like practical and efficient over anything else. No offense meant to anyone at all, I just feel like a lot of the names suggested are more of a slogan or tagline than a name for the group...
I agree with Peter's suggestion too. Plus it's easy to find for new members searching. Nice and straightforward.
I have a few! They could just be slogans, or whatever.ASSOCIATED WITH BOOKS:
Wuthering Words
All The Bright Readers
All The Books We Can Read
ASSOCIATED WITH CHALLENGE:
52 Weeks, 52 Books
Many more words, many more looks!
2016 Readers and Eaters
Challenge Time
Names like "52 books, 52 weeks", "52 books in 52 weeks" are already used on Goodreads (I just checked). Before the poll, we'll have to verify there's no groups with the suggested names.
I think the name should simple and straight-forward, a name that clearly indicate what the idea behind the group is.Since "52 weeks, 52 books" is already taken, I like "Around the year in 52 books" or maybe "52 books in 1 year".
I really like Around the year in 52 books (and some of the others) but I'm wondering if it would be found by more people if the word "challenge" is in the title? So many creative suggestions though!
Laura wrote: "I really like Around the year in 52 books (and some of the others) but I'm wondering if it would be found by more people if the word "challenge" is in the title? So many creative suggestions though!"Good point... I think it would draw more attention with the word "challenge".
What about "Challenge the year with 52 books" or "Challenge the year in 52 weeks"?
If you try the keyword "challenge" in the group search, you'll see lots of groups without it in their names, but I suppose they put it in the description or have some folders with it.
We can have a more original group name, to avoid the "already used" and a straight-forward description, so people will know what it is about.

Oh ok, I didn't realize good reads was advanced enough to search beyond just the name. That's good though :)
I still like "Annual 52 Book Reading Challenge".It's simple and tells you exactly what it is without being ambiguous or wordy.
Jennifer > I think in September or October as we have people joining us this summer and maybe they'll want to continue with the group too next year :)
Hi there, the poll is opened:
https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1...
The mods checked all the suggestions to remove the ones already taken or too much similar to other groups.
You can start by voting the name you prefer and I'll do a reminder just before the end so you could change to one of the most voted names if your choice didn't make it.

We'll need a new name for the group next year (changing this one or moving to a new group), so feel free to propose your ideas, even the crazy ones.
We'll do a poll later :)
