From the first post:
"We're looking for HORROR books that take place on/in or significantly include PLANES, TRAINS or AUTOMOBILES (NOT named Christine)."

When posting, please link to the title and/or cover of the books so everyone can easily click it to see exactly what book you're nominating.
Use the "add book/author" link above the text box and then search for the title when the search window pops up. Thank you.

Fright Train by Tony Tremblay

From a Buick 8 by Stephen King

The Passengers by John Marrs

+1 Flight or Fright: 17 Turbulent Tales Anthology

Edited to add, now that I'm on a computer, nothing in the first post shows up after the "Dong" picture when viewing from the app.
Jim wrote: "The Deep +1 I just read The Hunger a couple of weeks ago and really liked it."
The Deep is on a boat. The theme is trains, planes and autos, so it's not eligible. Feel free to nominate something else.

If so, then I will nominate that book - Full Throttle

Oops. I don't know why I was thinking boats. Edited my previous posts.

Vampire on the Orient Express
was a previous group read. Please check the link listed in the first paragraph before nominating. After the "monthly" reads, they are listed in alphabetical order for easier location.

Seconding Drowning!

I've been meaning to read this! I think it may be more of a thriller than a horror though. I read T J Newman's first book Falling

Oooh, okay! I haven't read her other book and I wasn't sure, so thank you for letting me know!! I just grabbed this one on a whim at Target a few days ago 😂

Thanks for clarifying that for me.
As everything I've read about TJ Newman's Drowning (book cover, Goodreads' categories, reviews, reader comments) places it squarely in the Thriller category, and not Horror, it will not be included in the poll for the group reads.
However, since a few people have shown interest, I will be happy to set up a buddy read, or someone else may do so.

I'd love to join a buddy read for it!

Before we get to the topic, the rules and some news first.
-Authors and publishers may NOT nominate their own books.
-Previous group reads are NOT eligible. To make it easier to see if a book was read previously, the list now includes an alphabetical list (by title) on page 2, after the chronological list. PLEASE refer to this thread before nominating books:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
-The top two vote getters will be the winners. Books that receive more +1s are more likely to make the final poll.
And now on to the theme:
It's the Return of Planes, Trains and Automobiles
We're looking for HORROR books that take place on/in or significantly include PLANES, TRAINS or AUTOMOBILES (NOT named Christine).
Give us your best horror books with one of these modes of transport.
And one last thing.... we're also out of coffee.
