Play Book Tag discussion

I seem to have fallen down a rabbit hole of reading books set in World War II London and A Peculiar Combination is another one. This is a mystery which gives one the choices of life on the straight and narrow or a life of crime and for some others in the book a choice between country or the enemy.

Ellie (Electra) McDonnell assists her Uncle Mick in his legitimate enterprise of locksmithing as well as his other side and more lucrative business of safe-cracking. When things take a turn for the worse, Ellie and her uncle are commissioned to do a bit of safe-cracking for the war effort.

There is plenty of tension and excitement in this mystery which is the first of a series. I must say that I am excited to read on.

It is not such a bad rabbit hole, if the books are good 😜
