Liralen | 8390 comments What's best practice when authors use a nickname on the cover? I've checked the manual but haven't found a definitive answer.

I'm looking at the page for Kimberly Jones-Pothier, who is also listed as Real Talk Kim (her social media handle and what's on some, but not all, of her books) and Real Talk Kim (Kimberly Jones-Pothier). Can these all be combined under one profile, or should there be more than one?

Thanks!

Scott | 12305 comments The third one is clearly wrong. I have merged it with her real name, as that is the only name on the book.

I would just leave the "Real Talk Kim" separate. I guess it would be considered a pseudonym.

Liralen | 8390 comments Makes as much sense as anything—thanks. I've linked the profiles, since she seems to write the same sort of content under both names. (The idea of a social media profile as official author name drives me a bit batty—though I suppose that's neither here nor there.)

Scott | 12305 comments I don't like it either, but that's what is printed on the cover so I guess we have to use it. :/
