*Spoiler alert* - I have beef with the way Flavia got out of the pit (being rescued by Dogger and Feely). Throughout this whole book you have this child prodigy of a girl who uses her smarts and wits to solve the murder and to be so resourceful -- I wanted her to find a way out of it herself. I still liked the book, but that was unfortunate in my opinion.
