More than halfway through the vampire chronicles (Mayfair witches and vampire series included) I still have a tough time imagining some characters as I read yet some come through perfectly.

For example, I see Timothée Chalamet as Quinn from Blackwood Farm but I can’t put a face on Mona Mayfair. And while we’re on the subject of Mayfairs I clearly see Sarah Paulson as Rowan Mayfair. This could might well be because of her involvement in American Horror Story’s Coven. I’m used to seeing Tom Cruise as Lestat but french actor Alain Delon comes to mind as well. Who do/did you see when you read the chronicles?

I’m only on book #5 so I haven’t gotten to the witches yet but figured I’d add my two cents even though this post is a few months old.

Lestat - Stuart Townsend (he played Lestat perfectly)
Louis - younger Robert Downey Jr with green eyes and circle glasses (lol idk why but that’s my opinion)
David (old body) - Simon Vance (lol seriously it fits)
David (new body) - Finn Wittrock
Marius - Gerard Butler
Maharet - Lena Olin (same as movie)
Gabrielle - Cate Blanchett
Armand - Eddie Redmayne
Khayman - Asser Yassin (with more muscle)
Akasha - Aaliyah (same as movie)
Jessie - (same as movie)

For me it would be as follows:
Lestat - Julian Sands (his French accent was superb)
Louis - a young Aiden Quinn (always had a haunted look)
Marius - David Bowie
Magnus - Gerard Depardieu
Armand - bearing in mind he was 17 when made a vampire and when we first meet him he is has a very old soul but a young body I would go with Miguel Cazarez Mora (he was in the Black Phone)
Gabrielle - Glen Close / Charlize Theron

The others in the chronicles my minds eye changed constantly. Maybe if I re-read from the beginning again I may have other actors to link them to.
