Point of Origin. My friend turned me on to the book. After reading it, I went out and got all the previous books. Have been hooked ever since. IMHO Carrie is the scariest of all the villains.

I read Flesh and Blood first. I became interested in reading Patricia Cornwell books when I found out she was a famous (and good) crime author. So, I just found it in the library and checked it out. I'm so glad that I did. I absolutely LOVE the forensic techniques that are incorporated in the book. I want to read all the books in the series now.

I started at the beginning with her first Scarpetta Novel "Postmortem" it was given to me by my high school mentor in 11th grade. I wanted to be a Pathologist and I wanted to study at the Body Farm at the University of Tennesee in Knoxville TN so she thought these books would be a great start so I could relate and I fell in love with the storylines! Patricia Cornwell is my Favorite author!! I ended up not being able to go to college because I couldn't afford it because by the time I graduated HS I was a mom. but thats okay I enjoy being a mom!!

My mom gave me her copy of Post Mortem that she read when she was in high school, while i was in high school. I finished it in a weekend and was caught up in the series very quickly!!

YES!!

  YES!!
My first Scarpetta book was Blow Fly. I picked it up from a Leave-a-book, take-a-book swap. It is exciting from the front to the back. I have read a couple more randomly from the same book swap. I am going to have to go back and start from her first in this series and read them all. I am not disappointed that the ones I have read are not in order.

My first Cornwell book was "The Body Farm." I absolutely LOVED the character of Lucy. I could relate to her on so many different levels, but she's much cooler than I. :) I also LOVED the introduction of Carrie Grethen. Talk about an awesome character! Lucy and Carrie are my forever favs!

Mine was Book of the Dead. It had just come out in paperback, and I was working a double and bought it on lunch. I went to the used bookstore and and bought all the ones that came before that and read them.

I picked it up on a whim, because admittedly, I liked the jacket design but ever since then I've been an avid fan. So I started to read from the very beginning, right up until the latest release.
And I believe that Jean-Baptiste Chandonne is one of her greatest villains.
