What or who did you read this week that was awesome?

Knowledge seeker I'm still reading Dan Brown novels, they're all awesome
I'm reading now the Lost Symbol, unfortunately I don't have it in English and I found it only in French, so I'm enjoying it, and I've got to know, in the same book, about the Freedom Plaza of Washington, and what it represents, so interesting

Anne I’m reading Sleepers by Jacqueline Druga. I got the whole series for a very low price and I’m still in the first one. I think there are 8 books. It’s a post-apocalyptic series and really pulling me in so far.

Nicole (Nerdish.Maddog) (nerdishmaddog) | 72 comments I just finished 4 winners in a row so this was a great week for me:
1. I finished listening to an ARC of Red Rabbit and loved how fun the entire paranormal western was.
2. I zoomed through Bird Box it had the perfect amount of tension and hope.
3. I Finished an ARC of Dreambound which might be my new favorite portal fantasy book ever written.
4. Camp Damascus was a surprisingly deep and heartfelt book for something tagged with the horror label.

Pauline Reid (paulinereidbookreviewer) An ARC titled, the Cook the Ghost and her Sister by Ellen Read, a friendly ghost story, release date 10 Sepember.

In the middle of, Threads of a Highland Heart by Claire Gillies, absolutely enjoying the fashion in this easy read.

And on Audiobook, Becoming Mrs Mulberry by Jackie French, not used to long audiobooks, this one being 14 hours, but by golly gosh its a damn good book, the protagonist has rescued a child that they think was bought up as a dingo, so I need to keep plodding along and just see what that poor child went through, she can't talk you know, but she howls like a dingo.

So all in all an interesting week.

Happy reading everyone.

Pauline

Dan Brown is a very good author. His books are hard to put down.
I've read "DaVinci Code" in English and the other Robert Langdon sequels in German hardcovers.
The only one I didn't care for was the last one set in Spain. I never really liked Spain (I was there once on vacation). After 300 pages I lost interest.

"The Lost Symbol" made me want to go to Washington, D. C., one more time which we did in early April when they had a heat wave, there was no water in the reflecting pools and also no water in the lovely historic Chesapeake & Ohio Canal.
My tip: visit Washington, D. C., in mid October when the high humidity is gone and there's water in the canal and reflecting pool.

There is a TV series based on "The Lost Symbol". It was pretty good, but I didn't get the impression that it was actually filmed in D. C..

Phil (Theophilus) (prattleonboyo) Finished reading two for me, this week. Apartment 16 by Adam Nevill & The Beckoning Fair One by Oliver Onions (review in progress.) Both excellent reads.
