Max is described as tall, dark, and scary with thick black hair and steely gray eyes. Ellie doesn’t see anything “pretty boy” about him and yet she immediately realizes that he has the potential to be a heartthrob albeit not for her! How does the chemistry between this couple work for you? Strong? Weak? Does your opinion change over the course of the story?

Ellie took one look at Max and know he was going to be trouble for her if he got to close. The chemistry was strong and only got stronger over the course of the story.

I agree Anita. The chemistry was there from the start. I knew it was going to bubble over quickly.

Some might see that as insta-love or insta-lust I guess. I never mind a little insta-love in my romance books so I was all about it.

I liked that Ellie realized that Max would be a problem for her if she allowed him to get too close. And yet, there's no way she could stop it once they began interacting. I enjoy Garwood's hero & heroine's immensely.
