Patrick Al-de Lange | 9 comments I hope I have chosen the correct folder...

Oke, so I have read Within a Budding Grove translated by C.K. Scott Moncrieff.

And now I'm reading In The Shadow of Young Girls in Flower translated by James Grieve.

According to Goodreads these two are the same book. Granted, they are both translations of the same book, but as translations, they are very different, even the title is different!

However, if I want to add my versions to my list, I can only choose one or the other. Either I claim to have read Moncrieff twice or Grieve. But what I want is to preserve which translation I read and when.

Is there a solution for this?

Arenda | 26455 comments Not a Librarian issue, as this is about the way GR works. See the Help page for Reviewing multiple editions: https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/...

GR policy is for different translations to be combined. If different books are incorrectly combined, it is a Librarians issue and the request to separate them belongs in the folder Book and author page issues.

I had searched for this option, but just couldn't find it.
