If you could spend a day inside the world of a book, which book would you choose and what would you do?

WendyB A scene in a book that has always stuck with me is from A Gentleman in Moscow. The Count is sitting on the top of the hotel building with the beekeeper as the sun is rising on a warm summer day. I would love to be there to drink coffee and eat honey and dark bread as the sun is rising on that day.

Phil (Theophilus) (prattleonboyo) Great question.

I'd go here
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

Accumulate wealth, kick out the Spaniards and save the state's missions from the various hordes of pirates and other foreigners that thrashed the state before it became part of the US.

Finally, i would make sure my legacy was to buy up vast tracts of land to keep it from being over developed. It would be conserved from the steaming pile of vastly over priced real estate shyte it has become.

Christine Mathieu | 319 comments I would like to spend a day at Nancherrow in Rosamunde Pilcher's novel "Coming Home".
My second pick would be the cottage in the woods from "A Peculiar Chemistry" by Kitty Ray...what a wonderful story!
And last, but not the least I would like to be in Laird Koenig's master piece "The little Girl who lives down the Lane". I always liked that location (not so much the goings on though).

Theresa (mysteries.and.mayhem) (mysteriesandmayhem) | 136 comments I would love to visit the pre-revolution Iran as it's described in To Keep the Sun Alive by Rabeah Ghaffari. The description of the gardens, the food, the leisurely family time all sounds so beautiful. This was such a well written book. It made me hungry to know more about the rich Iranian culture and history.

Nicole (Nerdish.Maddog) (nerdishmaddog) | 72 comments I used to always say Dune because I love the entire world system that is built up, but honestly I dislike being overly hot and the concept of stillsuits kinda grosses me out. My new choice would be The Neverending Story and obviously I would ride Falcor, but there are tons of other cool things to explore while there.

Knowledge seeker I would like to spend a day in "the long way to a small angry planet"
it's a wonderful novel, characters are living there like a family despite the big racial differences between them. I may disagree with some points of the book, but as a whole, I loved the air and atmosphere of the novel and of the space ship

Diane I would choose The Bridge's Of Madison County....and I would act just as Francesca did with Robert ❤️🤗❤️

Christine Mathieu | 319 comments "Bridges of Madison County" was riveting.

I remember an even nicer love story (filmed with Jacqueline Bisset) called "Dancing at the Harvest Moon" by K. C. McKinnon. One of the most beautiful love stories I've ever read (repeatedly).

Marie Love this question.

I would love to spend time in this book: The Fellowship of the Ring and would love to spend time in The Shire and walk around admiring the view. :) Maybe enjoy some talk and food at the tavern The Green Dragon. :)
