Not a lot of people read poetry anymore... why not try some? There are a lot of great poets out there to enjoy. Give one a shot.

Aquaria I read poetry on the regular. But I'm weird. Here are all the poetry books I'm reading this year:

Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass

The Million-petalled Flower of Being Here by Vidyan Ravinthiran

Li Shangyin's complete poetry

Shakespeare's Hamlet is a poetic play, and I have a verse novel by Elizabeth Acevedo coming up soon,Clap Before You Land.

So a pretty good selection of poetry this year, ne?

Denise | 55 comments I read Pathetic Literature, edited by Eileen Myles. It was not all poetry, but it had enough poems in it to qualify as a collection...at least two dozen
