The Robot Librarian's Reading Challenge discussion

Exactly what it says on the tin -- a book set on a farm or ranch. What rural reads are you leaning towards?

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. It's about a childless middle aged couple who move to Alaska where they want to set up a homestead, clear out the trees, and build the land for farming.

I think that I might lean into a comfort read here and do a rural or outback romance. I love Australian authors for this. I can recommend Rachael Treasure, Fiona McCallum, Alissa Callen, Fiona Palmer and Fleur McDonald if you like this type of books. Lots of farms and cattle stations (Australia equivalent of a ranch)

I have a bunch of Love inspired type books and some amish fiction on my shelf-i'll find something that fits this.

Samantha Mabry – All the Wind in the World

I read Demon Copperhead. Part of it is on a a farm, others in a farm supply store, and nearly all of it at least rural

I read The Last Beekeeper . Loved this hopeful dystopian story set on a farm.
