**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**

I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.

Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.

PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 13, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

I've been successfully hunted down! Snakes on a Plane works for me. Although Snakes on a Train would work as well if we ever want to mix it up. :)

I honestly just thought it sounded good because of the rhyme with plane/train. But I googled and there is an actual Snakes on a Train movie, even released the same year as Snakes on a Plane!

As we head into fall this year, I am really looking forward to gathering with family especially for the holidays! So for this task teams need to decide if they are reading books tagged as ‘family’ OR books tagged ‘holiday’. Tags are the only qualifier for this task. Include the team decision in your completion posts. Also, please include a link to the top shelves page with your qualifying tag along with how many tags and the top shelves page number in your completion posts.

Louise, before you drive yourself crazy looking for your post, you posted the task info into the buddy read thread for Case of the Fleet-Footed Mummy! :)

My preference is for Family, but I can do Holiday if that's what you all want.

This is not an exhaustive list, obviously, so please make other suggestions! I know there are some great series that I'm just not thinking of at this moment.

I would suggest In Death, but I seem to recall from last round that Berit isn't a big Nora Roberts fan, right?

Our Turf Wars lists for this next round have some really good stuff, so I'm open to almost anything from those. But I do notice a common theme with my PNR suggestions, so if anyone has anything more contemporary, I'm open.

I am OK with in death, if I'm being honest I only read the first one, but I think I do have access to most of them on audio? I prefer contemporary but I'm open to whatever.

I’m good with the In Death series

I totally open to In Death. Trying to get the next read by Sat for Life, so it works out for me!

But if we do Kate Daniels, we could do World of Kate Daniels so no matter where any of us are (Magic Claims, any body?), it works for all of us.

Oh, and I'd be willing to give Murderbot a try!

For contemporary, we could look at something from Samantha Young, this is newish series from her:
Adair Family

Or Penny Reid
Winston Brothers
Three Kings

I've given up on my monthly TBR so will do anything!

I’ve read all of Winston Brothers, and I’m waiting for the 3rd Three Kings to release. My library does have the first of that Samantha Young series.

Do we want to do that, or In Death? I know I saw at least one In Death on the TW list.

I would suggest reading the first 5 in order to see the relationship between Eve and Roarke develop. After that, it doesn't really matter.

OK, I'll read the second, although I don't much remember the first. Maybe I should read that again?

If you don’t remember it, no harm in a re-read.

Goodreads is so jacked up. Have you noticed lately that if you don't have the default edition marked as your To Read/Read, then when on the series page, the book doesn't look like you've marked it at all? Another stupid bug that is just more irritant than not but they all add up!
