What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I dont remember much about it, but i only read it once between 2002 and 2010 in the school library.

It was about a teen boy who saves a native indian site from looters/thieves. He saves a small artifact and becomes the keeper of the site and artifact. I think there was a native indian ghost/spirit involved somehow? The last lines went something like, "and here we will stay until the next caretaker/keeper arrives."
