yesssss so excited!! I'm going to rick's washington event on the 26th so im getting a signed copy🤩(too bad it isn't personalized tho)
Was it just me or did this book literally have no substance to it? like don't get me wrong, the nostalgia was nice. there just wasn't any actual story or serious threat... it all felt very surface level and just not at all what I was expecting! However, it wasn't insufferable, and was a cute and easy read; So I suppose I can't complain too much.
OMG HEY YALL (I’m a new member) okay SOOOO a few days after the chalice of the gods got released, I managed to get a SIGNED COPYYYY AHHHH!!! I’m not reading it just yet though bc I still have to read trials of Apollo haha
I liked the theme of growing up and how Rick addressed it through the goddess of youth and the god of old age, but I do agree it felt somewhat surface level. I mostly think that is just because there wasn’t any prophecy and the battles were less high stakes and were more of a planned thing to be done when Percy and Annabeth had time out of school. It definitely had a filler kind of vibe in comparison to the first five but at the same time I see why it was written that way as Percy is meant to be growing up and focusing on school rather than fighting monsters.
