Hunger Games RP discussion
Game 1 / The Arena
>
Cornucopia
The tributes all loaded into their chutes, 23 of them spending their last few minutes in the daylight. The chutes start moving up as they watch their mentors and stylists disappear from sight and then plunge into darkness. The countdown begins. As they come back up into light they notice that they are right next to their district mates. 10! The arena is in an odd shape this year. With 6 different terrains, the cornucopia is at the center. 9! To the right of the opening of the cornucopia was a sandy beach with blue waters. 8! D1 came up from their tubes to see they were surrounded by water. 7! D2 came up to the left of D1 surrounded by a few trees hearing trickling water. 6! D3 came up to the left of D2 in the Desert. 5! This continued all the way around the cornucopia 4! {You all I don’t have the brain power to do that all the way around. Map of the area is coming} Don't step off the platforms before the countdown is over, or you will automatically explode! 3! The Cornucopia at the center of all the platforms is the spot of the infamous bloodbath that kicks off the Hunger Games each year. 2! You're risking your life if you go in for supplies and weapons, but you're risking your life if you don't and are left to fend for yourself at a significant disadvantage! 1! May the odds be ever in your favor.

Jack ran to the Cornucopia, grabbed a small bag, and quickly ran away, into the desert.

Alex launched themself off the platform making sure their twin was following. ok she was they thought before she passed them and ran straight into a tribute from D5. The tribute was big and easily picked Simone up she tried to fight him but he snapped her neck quickly. Alex was furious and grabbed a weapon from another fallen tribute, it was a slim knife. As the tribute dropped Simone's lifeless body Alex threw the knife it landed in the throat of the tribute.
Todd Jr. grabbed a sword, a canteen, and a random backpack and took off running in a random direction, not even paying attention to where he was going.
Xavier ran, grabbing a bow and arrows, a backpack, and a sword. He also quickly took a canteen before running off.
Xavier arrived, returning to Cornucopia. He made sure no one else was there before browsing the materials. He grabbed a first aid kit and looked around for a map. He knew there wouldn't be one, but maybe for once, there was one. He had maps of the past Games' arenas at home, but it would be safe to assume that the arena had completely changed, just like it did every year. Xavier frowned. There wasn't a map, although he wasn't surprised. He just continued walking around, looking over his shoulder constantly for enemy tributes. Anyone could snipe him and instantly kill him.

Xavier picked up some knives. Throwing them wasn't his strength, but they would be useful in close combat if he didn't have his sword. He placed them into his backpack before leaving to gather ingredients for more potions. His bottle of poison was only half full after using it to tip the arrows, so he figured more would be useful later on. He decided to head back to the forest.
{also for future reference potions dont exsist but poisons do. there is no magic in THG just science.}
Rosemarie was sitting on her pedestal waiting for the gong to ring out. Rosie, anxious, decided to start meditating. Because Rosie was meditating, she missed the gong. After realizing, she ran to the cornucopia and grabbed a canteen of water and headed for the stream.

Unaware Todd let go, Esmé kept going to the cornucopia, she eventually made it and saw a little canteen of water and some food that nobody had taken. Esmé then thought she should start a trap...
Todd ran into the cornucopia after Esme, panting. "Hey, girl from the dunes!" He called out, seeing her in the center.
"Ugh" She sighed heavily. She finished her trap but said nothing about it to Todd. Esmé started climbing the cornucopia and said "It's Esmé."
"You're so confusing," Todd remarked. He made his way to the part of the cornucopia that she had climbed up. "Permission to board?"

(oh ok)
Todd was too focused on what she was saying to notice, let alone perform for, the camera. "Clients of what?" he interrogated.
Todd breathed a sigh of relief. He wasn't quite sure what he was expecting - he loved and trusted his parents - but the arena had a way of manipulating your thoughts and making you especially wary and mistrusting. Not quite sure how to explain this all to Esme, he abruptly changed the subject. Turning out to face the North West part of the arena, he remarked, "Incredible view up here. Almost deceptive, isn't it?"
Esmé felt something off in Todd's tone, it was almost like he stopped himself from saying something. Esmé realized something just then that made her head spin. She trusted him. And she thought he trusted her as well. "I agree" she said wholeheartedly.
Todd didn't know what to say, so he decided to just stand there in silence for a bit and ponder. The only things he knew about this girl was her first name and that she owned a makeup brand. And yet... he didn't even really know who the tribute was from his district, and he'd had next to no interaction with any of the other tributes... so he should maybe trust her? Just from a strategic standpoint, of course. It was hard to win the games if you were the only one watching your back.
Hearing nothing, Esmé looked over and saw Todd lying on his back on the cornucopia, "You good, dude?"
Todd snapped back to reality. "I'm... fine," he mumbled. Clearing his throat, he asked, "So... while we're here, any supplies we should stack up on? I have a backpack with some stuff, and a sword."
He nodded. "Seems like we've got a pretty good spread, then. Which means the next step is, where do we make our home base? Just stay here or nah?"
"Maybe the grasslands? It doesn't sound like too dangerous of a terrain like the arctic or dunes, and people will probably shy away from such an open area."
Todd jumped off of the Cornucopia and started running to the grasslands. He stopped ten feet into the field and turned to Esme. "Could you toss me my backpack?" He asked sheepishly.
He caught it by the strap. "Thanks." He waited for Esme to get down, then kept running to the grasslands.
ATTENTION ALL TRIBUTES: THERE WILL BE A FEAST IN THE CORNUCOPIA THIS EVENING. A BAG WITH YOUR DISTRICT NUMBER WILL CONTAIN SOMETHING VITTAL FOR YOUR SURVIVAL
