Hunger Games RP discussion

This freshwater stream is home to many types of fish, and other edibles as well as drinking water but it only goes through the forest with a harsh waterfall

Blake ran towards the trickling water he had heard earlier. after a while, he found a massive waterfall and followed it as far back as he could. Once he stopped hearing the fighting he sat down where he could see people coming but they couldn't see him. he filled up the canteen and took a sip. He heard a twig snap and started looking for whatever broke the branch. he saw the tribute from D8, Alex? they were crying and heaving. He wasn't sure but he figured Alex couldn't do any damage in their current state. "Hey!" he called barely loud enough for Alex to hear him. the fear in Alex's eyes when they saw Blake was evident. "I don't want to hurt you. do you want to hang out for a bit? catch your breath?" he was hoping he sounded genuine. Alex nodded and sat down near Blake silently. "I'm just waiting for V to catchup. she should be here in just a moment." he was hoping she was okay. he wanted to go look for her but figured that just risked both of them dying.

Verene entered and saw Blake. She ran towards him and barreled into a hug. She was worried he was dead. Then she saw Alex. She hid in the Forest then waited until all the tributes left the cornucopia and she took everything she needed. She got knives, food, daggers, and chemicals. "Where in the Capitol were you?!?!" she said muffling her answer in his shoulder." She hold onto the brace for a little while then let go.

Blake held her closely as soon as she collided with him. "I thought you went this way but when I realized you hadn't I was worried by the time I got far enough out to find you we would be further apart," he said as she released him. "are you okay? did you get hurt?" the worry in his voice was very clear.

Alex stood off to the side quietly. They weren't sure until now that they were actually together but now they were sure it was real.

"No, no I didn't get hurt don't worry." She said. She grabbed her canteen and filled it up at the stream. "What did you get?"

"ok," he said pulling out his stash from behind the tree. "I got a couple of knives, a canteen and this backpack" he hadn't checked what was inside yet but as he emptied it he found two down jackets and a sleeping bag as well as a few packs of nuts. he couldn't have asked for a better grab

"That nice." Verene said pulling her stuff out. She took three small knives on her belt. Then took Daggers from her boots. And she took off her back pack. She opened it and saw that she still had her chemicals and a jacket and sleeping bag. "I guess we both got a real goo grab." Smiling at him

Verene then headed to the stream and saw fish. She took out her dagger and stabbed the fish right out of the water. She smiled at her catch and tucked it in her Back Pack for later.

"I am so glad I have you in here," Blake said sitting back down against the tree. "oh! V, this is Alex. They are from D8 and came in with their twin."

Verene looked at Alex. Alex doesn't look like a threat. "hello Alex." Alex just nod at her. She then put her focus on him. " Blake I was so scared. I thought you were dead." After she said that she put her head on his chest.

"I'm sorry baby" He pulled her into his side kissing the top of her head. "im right here. i wont let you out of my sight ever again." This was the moment Blake realized this wasn't fake to him. This was very very real. to him at least

"You know I actually thought Marcus killed you. I was worried but now I know so now we need to make a game plan." She hates her feelings she hated the feeling of being helpless without him. She wanted him safe she wanted both of them safe.

"I haven't even seen him actually. I've only seen you and Alex" He shifted a little bit getting a twig out from under him

"Good, so our plan." She said. She knew she should sit up and look at him at eye level but she wants to just stay nearer to him to feel the comfort. She then realized that she has more too loose in the game than just her life... She has Blake and if he dies then... Her brain threw out the idea out of her brain. She is done faking she is done following what her brain wants she is finally doing what her heart been wanting for a long time.

"what do you have in mind wise girl?" he held her close

Alex finally felt like they might actually be okay. They sat down across from the disgustingly cute couple waiting for Verene to start talking. "i-if it helps" they said quietly "I'm happy to help you guys make it home" They didn't say for them to make it home but for Blake and Verene cause if any two people could it was going to be them.

"We need to play defense instead of offense. We need to let the others die while we are away from the mess. i would like to not kill a lot of people in the games." Verene said looking at twins.

{btw its only Alex. Their twin died in the bloodbath}

"I agree, I don't like killing. Out surviving yes. Killing no" he took another sip of water enjoying it while he can

{Oh okay}

"We can make camp tonight but in the trees. We can't be on the ground vulnerable to late night wanderers. We also need to make shifts of the night so we can be fully prepare." Verene said looking around.

"That sounds good. I can take first watch" he said looking up at the branches above him. they looked stable

{i gtg for a few}

"No Blake I can do the first shift." Verene said looking at him with so much determination. But at the most inconvenient time she yawned.

{I will be gone for about 2 hours at the latest fyi}

"no you need to sleep. its getting dark anyway." he stood up and started to climb

"Fine." She yawned. "But dibs." Yawn. "On the second shift." She climbed the tree with little effort and slept on a branch. She wanted to take the first shift. She wanted to know that her new friends are safe. But Blake can take care of himself. She saw Alex do the same thing. I try not to worry about tomorrow if there be a tomorrow that is. "Blake, I need help with my." She pointed to her back where her bandages were. "Can you please?" She whispered.

Blake smiled and moved to a branch closer to her. he held her hand gently while she slept. "Alex, you coming up?"

"oh uh yeah. I wasn't sure I was allowed to." they quickly climbed up and took a seat on a branch.

"get some sleep if you can," Blake said gently. "I've got this for a while." Alex just nodded and dosed off.

Blake kissed Verene's hand gently happy she was okay.

Verene then started having terrible nightmares about her Father and about the torture he put her and Ren through. She hated seeing Ren being used as a bargaining chip to make her obey. She hated that she once thought he changed.

Blake watched the night. listening for any sign of someone else. absent mindedly he rubbed circles on Verene's hand.

Verene calmed down. She thought she felt Ren or someone comforting her. She always needed to fight these mental battles. She needed to be strong for people. She always thought being weak for people will make the pain of loosing them harder. But no she is finding out what love truly is. And that love is not pain but strength.

the sky lit up with a tribute face. oh, it was that time. the cannons started to blow with how many died that day

Verene woke up and saw the tributes. She then saw tears in her eyes. Why was she crying for people she didn't know. Why was she sad about how they died.

"Hey, you okay?" Blake could barely see her but her tears reflected the light

"Yeah just sad you know for their family's who had hope to see them and for their districts who have lost people they new as friends." Verene said. She hold onto Blake's arm.

"Yeah, it's not fair. But we cant go against the capital." he didn't belive that but wasn't going to risk the capital retaliating against him or Verene

"Yeah, I just, I don't want to worry Ren when I die." Verene said.

"your not going to die" blake shifted so he could try to see her better "you will go home" even if i have to die for you. but he didn't add that

"That be nice you know not dying. But I think Marcus and April will have my head. As long as you win I be happy." She smiled then went to sleep.

"i cant live without you. if i win there is no point. you die. i die. your going to make it out" well i just blew my cover he thought maybe she will think its for the games and not real

"Your sweat, I love you.." She said then past out.

"i love you too babe" he smiled. who knew someone would smile in the middle of The Hunger Games

The dawn broke through the trees. Verene woke up and was worried. Why didn't Blake wake her up to do the second shift. SHe jumped down the tree and saw him near the stream.

"hey," He said looking over to her smiling "I was hoping to catch some more fish for our meals." he walked over to her kissing her gently "how'd you sleep?"

She pulled away. "Did you seriously stayed awake all night Blake." She said helping him with fishing for fishs.

"I might've," He said sheepily.

"BLAKE YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO WAKE ME UP!" Verene was mad. Blake needs sleep like every freaking human on earth does.

"im sorry! you were adorable and so tired." he paused "im fine i swear!"

"You better." She said cooling off. She was always told she is grumpy without food now she can see for sure. She then started a fire to cook some fish over the fire.

"be quick cooking the fish. I don't want anyone to see the smoke." He said pulling the one fish he did catch out from behind a nearby rock
