I get it now but at the time I was kind of surprised that he had such a strong reaction. I didn't expect him to be horrified.
This hurt me! Of all people who should know Kate's heart, I would have thought Doolittle should. His look made it clear he'd rather die. My heart bled for Kate. This will probably resurface again.
Doolittle really annoyed me in this book! I so wanted to go in there and throttle him for his callous treatment of Kate. How dare he treat her that way after everything she has done for the pack?! His behavior really put a damper on my affection for his character and troubled me far more than Curran's actions. What Curran did was out of love for his mate. Doolittle's reaction shows that despite evidence to the contrary, he has not accepted her into the pack 100%. It was a much more significant hurt.
Lauren and Jonetta, I had the same reaction. I was more hurt by Doolittle than Curran.
