It felt like a death scene to me. I wasn't surprised that she wasn't miraculously saved. It was a very poignant scene. I definitely thought it was well written and I felt it right in the pit of my stomach.
This was the most powerful scene in the story, IMO. The audio performance was outstanding in that I actually felt Kate's agony, frustration and uselessness in that moment. I felt like crying.
Beautifully done and befitting of the character.

I was really hoping she would make it but alas... Jonetta, I think I was crying during this scene and Raudman's narration was so visceral.
Truth be told, I probably was crying and was so caught up in the story didn't notice. Raudman truly turned in a masterful performance.
I could tell just from how Raudman was narrating the passage and what Kate was seeing that Aunt B would die. You just knew it.

I actually remember stopping what I was doing and standing wide-mouthed with shock that Aunt B was going to die. And I'm with Erin, it felt very much like a death scene to me, and I knew that unfortunately we were going to lose characters we love. But dang, why did it have to be Aunt B?!
