I adored this book!! It was my favourite in this series until I read the next one :).Loved the scene in the courtyard where Kate kicked Hugh's ass and manipulated him to boot!!
I loved that she saved the guy in the cage (name?).
Ditto, ditto, ditto, Erin! (The guy in the cage was Christopher. Didn't he give them the formula for creating the panacea?)
I couldn't stop listening and each time, I can't believe the current story can top the last. Now? I'm just going to confidently start each book knowing I'm going to be blown away.

It was a fabulous book with heartwrenching and heartwarming moments galore. It is amazing how intense this series is and each and every character wrings out an emotional response. Yes, Christopher is the creator of the panacea. Another reason that the pack has to be grateful to Kate. Christopher sees Kate as his angel so they had better be nice to her...
Kate's fights with Hugh are incredible.
If there is one thing that disappointed me it was that Kate didn't get to kick the crap out of Lorelei. Now that would have been a brilliant scene! Nevertheless, I did love how Curran told Lorelei that Kate could tear her apart, lol!
I wanted Kate to humiliate her publicly but then, she's dumb as a rock. I mean, the bimbo challenged Kate!!! She didn't even have enough sense to be worried!
I also really loved the part where Kate comes in and essentially saves Curran's ass during that fight with Hugh. I love, love, love that Ilona and Gordon have created a badass female character and are true to her! Heck no she doesn't need to be saved by a man all the time and hold the phone ... she can save the beast lord!
I hated having to create so many questions but this was a BIG story!! I would just jot down a few words as a memory jogger while listening and couldn't think of any to omit. I condensed as much as I could but wanted to separate the conversations about Aunt B as a warrior and her final scene. And, I thought we should tackle Kate's jealousy separately from Curran's dumb move.

I so need to re-read this book. I'm amazed at how much I remember given how much time has passed since I listened to it.
I've come to realize, Lauren, that you very much synthesize the UF worlds and politics of the genre. It's a permanent part of your recollections and I can only imagine your Harry Potter thesis. You've really helped me embrace the gist of the genre.
