Unfortunately only "Rebecca" by Daphne DuMaurier.I tried a newly published book by Alafair Burke & Mary Higgins Clark called "Where are the Children now?" which was praised a lot in goodreads. But after 160 pages I'm still waiting for it to get interesting. A sequel which leaves a lot to be desired.
It's such a pity, because MHC's "Where are the Children" (1975) is such a compelling novel!
I expect to finish The Haunting on West 10th Street by Helen Phifer. It's been really good. Looking forward to seeing how it ends.

That's great to hear :)

Most compelling dabbling this week was in Steven Erikson's massive 1200-page high grimdark fantasy series volume. but I just started John Boehner's memoir of working in the House of Representatives, and his voice of integrity is measured and respectable. I'm a dabbler at heart, so there's always a lot going on and butterfly hopping and flitting.

What did you read this week that was particularly good?
