That means we are very early in the P&P storyline. The other books are $2.99 each. Read the reviews as some suggest binge-reading to enjoy the flow of the continued story.

Half Price Books posted on Facebook that more than 10,000 booklovers have signed their petition against book bans and censorship so far but they are still trying to get more signatures.

With any petition, you have to read carefully and make sure you understand the language and what it is really saying. Any legislation, Act, or cause can have the baby thrown out with the bath water. I have heard of situations where books, I would consider not appropriate, are now being read to elementary children due to no restrictions forbidding the action. I am talking about sexually explicit and mature content. We each have to make an intelligent decision but just know what you are signing. Pandora’s box has been opened and anything and everything is being read and taught to little children with no restrictions to govern them. I am not pointing fingers I just wanted to put out a caveat on knowing what you are signing.

I agree that elementary children should be restricted from certain subjects as well. There are certain places that censorship is reasonable / acceptable.

I know what you mean, Chelsea. It is a fine line to walk and a lose-lose situation.

How many folk here are members of the Pride and Prejudice Variation Audiobooks group on FaceBook? I know that quite a few of you don't, as my husband says, “do social media”. However, if you do, and you listen to a lot of your Austenesque fiction as I do, it’s worth joining for news of new releases, discussions and polls for the Audiobook of the Month. There are also extensive lists of tropes available which are extremely useful but you have to be a group member to access them. We're not allowed to share them outside the group.

Also, starting on the 21st of this month and continuing until the 28th, they're running something called the “JAFF Audiobook Giveaway Bingo” which I guess is self-explanatory! I'm going to be on holiday in rural Brittany for a lot of it, with very poor connectivity and no wi-fi, so will probably miss most of it but thought I'd give it a shout out here.
