What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

This was definitely a kid’s fiction book, aimed at 8-13 years old or younger. Written between 2000 and 2016 and had the memorable format of lined paper, like it was written in a notebook. It contained a lot of drawings done in a kid’s art style, usually involving his friends or different made up superheros, and he realized that he never used himself as a protagonist in them. I imagine he was living vicariously through the comics.

Also, I believe he had a rivalry with someone who had a unisex name and whose gender wasn’t revealed until near the end of the story when she asked him out. The book was not particularly popular. It was written in English.

What does E/EVERYONE mean?
