I embarked on the path of self-publishing about four years ago with a quiver and a shudder. This means you will have to confront your fear of self-promotion, I warned myself. I ignored it. I pretended it wouldn't be a problem. After the book was released on Amazon, I posted once on Facebook. I allowed myself to forget about it. And two years later, unsurprisingly, my book has only managed to attract a single review. (Thank you Gloria, a fellow writer, who has also entered the fray of self-publishing.)
I have recently made my novel available on eBook. And to celebrate its release, I am offering the manuscript as a free download. I am doing this in the hope that people will read my book. And that that they will like it. And that maybe they will tell people about it. I am also doing it because I am trying to raise that number of Amazon reviews over the current total of one.
