Project Hail Mary - by Andy Weir
This has become my all time favourite book. An amazing story about friendship with an alien, one who is very much unlike us humanoids.
And:
Ready Player One /Two - by Ernest Cline
I binged these two books because I couldn't get enough of the story. Much of it set inside a computer simulation but with 80's nostalgia. Omg, heaven ♥️

I've read both Project Hail Mary and Ready Player One, I'll check out #2.

We Are Legion (We Are Bob) (Bobiverse) - by Dennis Taylor
About a guy called Bob, who cryogenically freezes his body when he dies and gets woken up as the insaleed Ai in a Von Noymen probe.

Book 1 is The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. Book 2 is A Closed and Common Orbit. Book 3 is Record of a Spaceborn Few. Book 4 is The Galaxy and the Ground Within. They are Hershey sequels per se. Less plot-driven, but more character studies in a common universe. They explore issues of identity and belonging, while accomplishing an almost Tolkien-like quality where you completely care about all of the characters.
The next recommendation are Becky Chambers’ two Monk and Robot short novels, A Prayer for the Crown-Shy and A Psalm for the Wild-Built. I can’t say enough about these books, and their explorations of kind humanity.
Finally, Alex Segura and Rob Hart’s sci-fi spy novel Dark Space is just rollicking good fun. Hard to put down. And for a non-sci-fi series, Alex Segura’s novels Secret Identity and Alter Ego are simply amazing. The first one is set in the comics industry of the mid-1970s, while the sequel is modern day. If you’re at all interested in comics and their creation, you’ll love them.
Alice in Quantumland by Robert Gilmore, quantum manics mixed with Alis in Woderland.
Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, starting book can be many, I recommend Moving pictures, Soul music or Intresting times, a fantasy series with 41 books + 4 The Science of Discworld.
Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody by Hiro Ainana, fantasy with overpowered main character.
Have Space Suit—Will Travel by Robert Heinlein, classic Sci-Fi.
Humans are Weird: I Have the Data by Betty Adams, modern Sci-Fi.
