Are there any authors who you've read every single one of their books? Which authors?

A few, if we just count novels and overlook short stories!

Guy Gavriel Kay is one, with the exception of his volume of poetry (not a fan of written poetry, though I love hearing it performed out loud).

I've read all of Robin Hobb's novels published in her name, but not any of her Robin Hobb aka Megan Lindholm books.

I JUST downloaded my library loan of The World We Make by N.K. Jemisin, and once I finish that I'll have read all of her novels that are published so far. I may be missing a few short stories.

I thought I had all of Neil Gaiman, but I just looked up the list and I am missing a few.

Out of genre I've read all of Tana French's mysteries.

Cheryl (cherylllr) | 424 comments Michael Perry, and most I reread, for example Truck: A Love Story and Montaigne in Barn Boots: An Amateur Ambles Through Philosophy.

Becky Chambers (The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet etc.) most of which I reread.

Most by many children's authors including Kevin Henkes and Vivian Vande Velde off the top of my head.

I'm sure there are more; I read a lot and tend too much to follow up on books I like with others by the author.

DivaDiane SM | 241 comments Yes, I’ve read all of Robin Hobb including the less than stellar Soldier Son series and the short stories. I’ve read a couple Megan Lindholm novels but not all of them. Wizard of the Pigeons is great!

I’ve read all but 2 of Ursula K. LeGuin’s novels, probably 70-80% of her short stories and quite a few of her poetry collections and essay collections. I’ve been kind of rationing reading what’s remaining because I don’t want to live in a world where there is nothing new by UKL to read.

I might be close to having read all of Anne McCaffrey’s solo novels, but haven’t read any of her collaborations.

Dawn (caveatlector) | 348 comments I have read everything by Terry Pratchett, I think. There might be some random short stories I'm missing but I have read everything Discworld related.
I've read all of David Gemmell as well.

I am pretty close to reading all of Elizabeth Moon's, I am currently working on her fantasy series.

There are a few I'm super close on, like Emily St. John Mandel, & Anne Leckie.

Out of genre I am doing better....

I have read everything by Agatha Christie, Robertson Davies, L.M. Montgomery, Kim Thúy, Bruce Alexander, & Louisa May Alcott

I thought I had read all of Jacqueline Winspear's but I didn't know she had a book out this year.

I am currently working on reading all of Margaret Atwood's works.

Oh, I also have all of L.M. Montgomery! And Laura Ingalls Wilder too, in a similar vein.

Liander (The Towering Pile) Lavoie (liannelavoie) | 17 comments My first thought was that I must have a bunch of authors I've read all of, but once I tried to think of some, I couldn't! I have a lot of authors I'd love to read everything by. But I can't find one that I've already read everything by.

Some that come close:

Guy Gavriel Kay - I own all of his books and have read most of them, but I am a few books behind.

H.E. Edgmon - This almost feels like cheating because I've only read two of their books, but that is all that's out so far except for a contribution to a book of short stories. Looking forward to more from him!

Not close but one day...

R.L. Stine - I collect his books and am reading them chronologically, but it'll be many years before I catch up to him.
