Next weekend sounds good to me! I'm good with continuing into 2024.

Just realized I didn't go into the last thread and put my final thoughts down. I'll try to do that this weekend. I did enjoy that last one more than the previous one.

I started this on Thursday since I found out I wouldn’t have much time to read this weekend. So far I’m enjoying it. I’m around ch. 18 (view spoiler)[I like the connection to Painter’s family and learning more about where he came from and I’m curious about the connection between the Guild, Thomas Jefferson and the mysterious gold bars (hide spoiler)]

I also started this week but had to stop as another book was due to the library and I had to finish it. I am at chapter 9. I like it too. What do you think is happening between Gray and Seichan? I think there is something between these two…(view spoiler)[ Who do you think was with Gray at the end of the previous book? Rachel or Seichan? My husband thinks it’s Rachel but I do not remember the author giving us a clue…😊. Need to borrow this book again and double check! (hide spoiler)]

I had the impression at the end of the last book that things were back on again with Rachel. I won’t say anything else until you’re through ch 18. I’m only up to 23 but I hope to have more reading time tomorrow.

I'm up to chapter 35. I really like this story so far but admit that reading (view spoiler)[ about Yellowstone being a time bomb when I intend to visit in 2024 is making me nervous! 😊 Seriously, I do not understand everything about all the nano…something in the story but I find the idea that we do not know all that our ancestors knew very interesting as a based for this book and if I understand the next one…Bloodline. I am starting to build some hypotheses on who is the Bloodline family but too early to talk about it (hide spoiler)]

I hope to finish the book today or tomorrow.

After Seichan suggested she was a double agent, I kind of thought that she would be Gray’s endgame, but then her motives went all cloudy again for me. I’ll admit that Rollins surprised me with the hookup with Rachel in the last book. I thought maybe it was just a ‘I’m going to die’ thing but then at the end I thought they were back together. Then she’s not mentioned at all until Ch. 18 in this book which seemed to imply that they weren’t going to work out just like they didn’t before and I’m wondering what was that all about then?

You've blown right past me. LOL. I've only made it through Ch 25 yesterday. I'm really enjoying it.

Good catch on the family name. I should have caught it but I didn't. I don't know about Monk. Part of me says that adventure is in his blood but at the same time, having a family can affect some people. Personally I hope it's temporary, just because I love his character.

I agree with you on Monk. Really hope he will be back.
