message 16: by Tokoro (new)

Tokoro (magicschooltokoro) | 8 comments I'm 90% into an audiobook by Iain Banks, character- and relationship-driven rather than plot---it reads more like a play to me, as it's primarily dialogue, and might even remind of the two works from the Angry Young British Men literature movement.

message 17: by Beth (last edited Nov 01, 2023 05:23PM) (new)

Beth | 212 comments I am finishing the month with Murder Under a Red Moon
by Harini Nagendra.
I am still working on the mini challenges for September AND October...

message 19: by Denise (new)

Denise | 574 comments Finished the mini challenge with Howl's Moving Castle for steampunk. I also finished Killers of the Flower Moon (graveyard) as October closed

message 20: by Aquaria (new)

Aquaria | 295 comments My last book of the month was Raven Leilani's Luster.

All I'll say about it is that I'm burning out out on novels where most of the characters are detestable.
