these are the rules of our group. we respect these rules, and we hope that you will do the same. it’s expected of you to follow them and be loyal enough to not break them. here are the list of the main rules below. remember to sign underneath after you’ve read them. credit: @howlerplays

1) decent replies. as this is a semi-advanced roleplay group, we expect you to have at least four sentence responses at the least. there are many reasons for this. this is so others and yourself can understand what’s happening in the story, as well as the fact that we want everything to be detailed. if you’re struggling with figuring out what to write, ask one of our amazing moderators to help you. things that you can type out when in roleplay can include your characters actions, thoughts, and feelings. what they’re doing with the environment, how they perceive the situation, and so on. now, everyone will have their writers block, but please make sure to tell your roleplay partner that you’re in a burnout. even then, we need four sentences minimum.

2) gandhi rules. keep in mind that this group is friendly to all. it does not matter what color you are, what your race is, what gender you go by, or your sexual preferences. everybody is welcome here, and if you cannot respect that, then take your leave now. we do not want fights going on just because of someone’s identity, online or not. if it’s in roleplay, please make sure that your roleplay partner is okay with this before continuing. if it is out of roleplay, it is an immediate ban with no warnings. this is your warning right here. be fair to everyone and you’ll be treated with respect greater than that of someone who is unkind. any insults will not be tolerated and will result in immediate ban.

3) permissions from another. this goes with roleplay. as asking for consent in roleplay with homophobic slurs and racist comments, things along those lines, you must ask about things such as injuring someone’s character, getting into physical and or verbal fights, and so on. not everybody is comfortable with these kinds of things, and others may not want their characters to get brutally stabbed punched in the face. alongside this, you cannot make your characters mary sues/gary sues. meaning, you cannot make your characters overpowered/godmodded, or just have a perfect-everything character. if in a fight, make sure they do not dodge constantly. characters, just like yourself, will have plenty of weaknesses.

4) common sense. we would greatly appreciate if you stayed in context. drifting away from the plot isn’t a thing here. your characters are human, and they have emotions. they will grab things and they will do things. if your character sits down, you cannot then have them offset within the next post unless you say that they have gotten up and walked/jogged/sprinted to their destination. so really, staying in your character’s perspective is important.

5) creation. for character creation, we would like you to have an actual human face claim. so, no hybrid characters, nothing that’s out of “human boundaries and anatomy”. these characters are human and human only. there are no gods or demigods. no, you can not make your character an animal. of any kind. we would also like for you to follow the simplistic template provided at the minimum, meaning, you're more than welcome to have a more detailed template, but it must have the information from the provided template. *if you have a character that was in the original Kingdom of Amandla group, please tell a moderator if you'd like them to be restored here as well.*

6) roleplaying and character installment. alongside requesting a roleplay before starting one (which will be explained), you are not allowed to roleplay as someone else’s character. the only way you may, is if they’re inactive but them and the moderators have all agreed that you may temporarily play as that character. now, continuing with roleplay requesting — it’s rare for people to respond to roleplays that have been started with no requesting involved in the first place. so, if there are no events going on at the moment, feel free to request a roleplay with someone either in the request topic, or message them singularly in private messages. another thing: please only have your character in one roleplay at a time unless you consult with a moderator and they give you the green light to do so.

7) inactivity. if you are inactive or plan to leave, you must either talk with the mods or the mods will talk to you before doing so. we understand that you may not have the chance to say your farewells, but it does make everything relatively easier when we know who is going, why, and if they’ll return. there is an archive for a reason, and it will be used if needed. for major characters (royal family members, heads of guards, or royal cabinet roles), you must make the character within two (2) weeks of claiming and must begin a roleplay within a week, moderators can be notified if you need an extension.

8) be warned. there are mature themes in this group. things like gore are all over in this group. your characters will be put into horrific situations, where they may not know what to do. they may even die, if it comes down to that (of course, only with the creator of the character’s permission and some discussing with mods). if you feel triggered in any way, please alert the person you are roleplaying with. for bad posts, trigger warnings are to be displayed at the top of the post.

9) have fun. really, there’s not any other rules. there’s the basic ones, such as keeping certain subjects in their respective topics. ex: questions in the question topics, requests in their request topic, so on and so forth. now, all that’s left to do is for you to go off and enjoy yourself! have fun roleplaying, meet new people, form relationships, and get a bit of jiz jaz in between roleplays with your characters.
