Dani | 9 comments ‘Historic’ because I am finally getting around to uploading my 2023 reading and reviews to Goodreads and tallying which books were eligible for Mount TBR.

1. Swing Time, by Zadie Smith. Probably spent about 6 years calling me to the mountain, this one!
2. Middle England, by Jonathan Coe. Reread after finally reading The Rotters’ Club.
3. Never Let Me Go, by Kazuo Ishiguro (reread).
4. Little Gold, by Allie Rogers. 5-star read.
5. The Sellout, by Paul Beatty. This one’s been calling me for six years too - about five weeks longer than Swing Time, apparently!
6. London Calling, by Claire Lydon. Bought in the dying days of 2022 (29/12) and read a month later, so it almost feels like cheating to include it in the challenge. But omg what a hard slog it was to get through this bland tat, so it is actually quite fitting that this got to the peak of my first mountain this year!

Dani | 9 comments Thanks, Bev :)
I have now caught up with transferring all my books read this year onto Goodreads - and paving my way up a couple of mountains with the ones that count. The going got tougher after Pikes Peak but I am still hoping to reach the summit of Mont Blanc before the year end 😊🤞
