The Reading Prismatic Arch discussion

I'm scared guys, I just finished the first chapter of Lathe of Heaven and it didn't impress me. It was nigh incomprehensible. Starting with incomplete sentences about a jellyfish in a storm (I think) and then moving to a guy in a hospitable room who needs to use the bathroom and is being accused of stealing prescriptions (again I think that's what is going on, I'm not really sure). This thing had better get better quick. 

I felt the same way too,but it picks up on the next two chapters or so and by the end, you figure out why the first was weird.
