Sooner or later everything falls into the sea.
This is one of the best short story collections I have ever read! Every story is interesting and thought provoking in some way. I read a few this summer and they still stuck with me, I liked them even more the second time. Several of the stories are set in the future, though only a few of the stories contain magic or sci-fi elements that are obviously fantastical. A few of the stories were likely inspired by the beginning of Covid, with different kinds of speculations about how our societies might change. My favorite story involved the family of an architect who was changed forever by one project. I also really enjoyed the stories about Musicians, but set in the future, and one on a space ship. There is nothing outrageous, and there are no twists at the end, but they each revealed a different slice of life in a possible future.
