This was my writer's getaway in Sri Lanka in 2019.
I started the first draft of Zone Girls here.
I then fled to Bali in 2020 to avoid Covid and finished the first draft there.
I fled Bali to avoid Delta and came home to California briefly and after seven more drafts finished the book with the help of my editor in NYC while living in Mexico.
The book was published on October 24th, 2023.
I still live in Mexico.
It's great here.
Zone Girls is a nine-book fantasy/sci-fi series.
It's a trilogy triad with prequel, middle, and sequel trilogies.
The illustrated book that was published last month is the first book of the middle trilogy.
The first drafts of the prequel books are finished.
I'm now working on the sequel books.
