Mary I like this topic, as it shows the flexibility of this challenge! I've lived in a lot of places, so considered a bunch of different cities for my hometown challenge. I finally decided on where I went to high school, and went with that - even though it was more challenging that the big cities where I've lived.

I found this book a complete snooze-fest; but I feel like it's part of the challenge to work through books I would not typically like - just in case I discover something new. I'm not very interested in literary fiction anyway, and this was essentially four depressed people who are whiny and difficult, then come together for the climax that obviously must be coming because there is no plot. Everyone leaves that happily ever after (mostly). Maybe there is some interest in learning more about unpleasant people - but not from me. The book is covered with good reviews form her other book, which is probably a sign this one did not do so well.
