I plan to read:
The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series - #21, #22
Isabel Dalhousie Series - #12, #14
44 Scotland Street Series - #11, #..."
Your series challenge made me smile, I really liked 2 of your series though I am now as current, so not I need to check out your others .... my TBR will never get smaller... sigh ...lol

I’m tempted to add the series challenge now, I’ve got lots of unread Alexander McCall Smith books waiting too!

I plan to read:
The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series - #21, #22
Isabel Dalhousie Series - #12, #14

I know what you mean! I'll never have a time when I'll say "I don't have anything to read"!!

I’m tempted to add the series challenge now, I’ve got lots of unread Alexander McCall Smith books waiting too!"
Do you know that I've read "62!!" Alexander McCall Smith books and I'm still 15 books behind on the five series of his that I read! The man writes faster than I can read!!! ;)

Good luck and Happy reading!

Good luck and Happy reading!"
Yes, I’m working on my plans and will start to type in soon.
Thanks for reminding me about Framley Parsonage! We definitely want to read that one next year :)
My goodness, I never realized how many series you are reading! You know one of my favorite things is watching your reading year unfold.

I love watching your reading year too -- I see what you're reading then I write it on my TBR list!!! You're going to have to quit reading so much -- I can't keep up! haha!
You know, I didn't realize that I read that many series either till I started writing them down! I really just can't keep up with Alexander McCall Smith, though I love him. I need to read a few of his in 2024. But a few of the books that I was putting down on my challenge lists surprised me that they were "series" books! I forgot about "Emily" and "Anne of Green Gables" and "Allan Quatermain!" And then you reminded me of the D.E. Stevenson one and I promised to read "Framley Parsonage" with Shaina which is Book #4 -- well, it all really snowballed!
I don't know if I'll get all those read, but at least it feels organized now and I have a plan! :)

I have not read it but it's next on the Barsetshire list since I've read the first three. I'm glad to get your information so I'll be prepared and not get put off right at the beginning! Also, I'll probably listen to it, and sometimes an audio book can kind of push through boring sections that I might have trouble making myself actually read!
I'll keep my fingers crossed and be watching to see what you say about it!
Thanks, Teri-K!

Oh, Anne is great! You've probably read at least some of those books before, as have most of us have. But I've never read the whole series and I'd like to. So I just add one every so often.
Unfortunately, that's kind of how I handle most of my series, and you see where that's got me!!! I'm glad this challenge is giving me a little nudge and now I feel like I have a plan!! We'll see how it works out ;)

Happy reading!

Happy read..."
Well, good luck if you decide to read it. I have found that these books are not heavily connected. I'm thinking a re-read is not necessary unless you just want to. Maybe it will fit into one of your challenges! :)

And now you've reminded me that I need to read Mr. Harrison's Confessions! Maybe I can find a place for it somewhere on one of my challenges ;)
Terris, I noticed Requiem for a Wren on your Old and New challenge. The same book is titled The Breaking Wave and may be easier to find, assuming you don't already have it. It is one of Shute's more solemn books, dealing with the effects of war on those who served. An excellent read. I hope you like it. Have a very good year and happy reading.

Thanks, Sue! I'll be sure to recommend my favorites to you! Happy reading to you, too :)

I'm so glad to hear that, Marilyn! I tried to add more authors that make me feel good. I, too, love all those authors! I thought that would help me finally be able to complete the O&N challenge ;)
I'm looking forward to Miss Mole!

Someone at a Distance by Dorothy Whipple, 4****s, 1-30-24
Ready to start another one!

No, my second. I also read High Wages, and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, her books are kind of hard to get ahold of. When I talked to my local librarian about that, he bought these two books for the library! I thought that was so nice of him! Now, I guess I'll have to find some other ones on my own ;)

I know! We're going to have to keep an eye out!
