Travis (travishiltz) | 2403 comments Spoiler free until people of had a chance to see it: the good parts are very good, the less than good parts are painful in how hard RTD is trying.

All that Disney money and they forgot to purchase any subtlety.

I'm glad it's back, and it was fun to see how well Tennant and Tate slide back into their roles.

Travis (travishiltz) | 2403 comments Liked it, can't say I loved it.
Looks great, solid cast ( I want the three UNIT characters to show up in the spin off), Tennant and Tate feel like it's been five minutes, not 15 years since they were last in these roles and that console room is beautiful.

Most of the script feels like RTD is running up to you and hitting you in the face with a shovel.
This was a busy script, but he rushed through a couple moments that needed more time to work.

and the sonic screwdriver is now a Green Lantern ring.

😹 And now I’ve found ANOTHER reason to love the absurdity of the Sonic Sunglasses. 😹😹😹

But with talent like Tennant and Tate, who cares! 😹😹😹

Travis (travishiltz) | 2403 comments Nice interview with Pat Mills, who wrote the original comic story, about being invited to the set and getting to meet cast and crew.
