I'll throw one out for you to consider. Usually everything I like you've already read! But I see Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood is still on your TBR, and I just have a feeling you'd enjoy that one, if you like Atwood. I loved it.

I hope to read some Eudora Welty this year too. Reading her work reminds of a favorite professor. I am thinking of rereading Delta Wedding. I read it so long ago that I have forgotten it. . . .Enjoy!

Yes, yes, yes! I had that on this year’s bingo but my reading has been thrown off by family things and I don’t think I’ll get to it. So it will be a definite for 2024. Thanks!

Pamela Cat's Eye is something I read so long ago that I have forgotten. I would be interested in a reread. If I remember--I will do my best--I will nominate Cat's Eye in December for our February New Classics group read.

What did you think of The King's General,Pamela?This was my favourite romantic novel for years which I passed on to all my friends at college.

I really liked it Vicky, I gave it 4*. I thought the historical research was very thorough but didn’t distract from the story, and I thought Honor was a really original and interesting protagonist.

That's terrific, congrats on your first Bingo! I've really enjoyed a couple of books by Arnold Bennett (The Grand Babylon Hotel and Buried Alive) but this one seems more serious than the ones I've read, and also a lot longer. How did you enjoy it?

I really enjoyed it Wobbley, although it was long it didn’t seem like it and I read it at quite a pace. It was so convincing and I really wanted to know what would happen to the two women.
