positive: George, Julia, the dr's & zoo people.
negative: MACK. KILLERS IN THE JUNGLE.

It seemed like there was always a balance with the positive and negative representations -- there are horror stories scattered throughout the book about the terrible ways they were treated by humans, but then there was also a lot to be said about the humans who stepped up to help them. By the end, an entire community even comes to their defense.

some of the customers at the zoo were negative representations, too. Just the kids beating the glass or yelling at the animals. They weren't the worst representations, but they didn't show compassion like Julia did right away.

I totally agree. I would say there are more negative stories and instances with humans. However, the positive references are very positive. Like the protest, Julia and George, and the people who rescued Ruby.
