There are 7 main routes to this pilgrimage. The most popular one is Camino Frances and we're going to take that one, however, we will pick it up at Sarria rather than doing the entire route.
Start - Sarria
King Alfonso IX of León died in Sarria in 1230 while making a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. That's kind of an auspicious start to the hike.
Task: Read a book that has "King" in the title, or the author is named King.
Checkpoint 1 - Palas de Rei
There's little to do at Palas de Rei other that gawk in amazement at the architecture. Maybe it's time to stop at PalaShama Quiromasaje & Bienestar spa and treat ourselves to a massage. They offer Special Pilgrim, mud, antiaging, vitamin rituals. "Seek peace for your mind and you will find health for your body"
Task: Read a book with "Body" in the title.
Checkpoint 2 - Melide
In the 15th Century, Melide played a central role in the Irmandiña Revolts against the power of the local barons. It was during these revolts that the walls of the town and the fortress were destroyed. The stone however was later used in the construction of the Convent of Sancti Spiritus.
Task: Read a book where a nun is a significant character.
Checkpoint 3 - Arzua
It is one of the Galician municipalities with more cows per capita rate in Galicia and it is well known for its cheese.
Task: Read a book where the cover is 75% yellow,
Checkpoint 4 - O Pedrouzo
Its main attractions consist of the Roman bridge over the Rio Mera and the parish Church of Santa Eulalia de Arca.
Task: Read a book with a bridge prominently on the cover.
Finish - Santiago de Compostela
It is the alleged burial site of the Biblical apostle St. James. His remains reputedly lie within the Catedral de Santiago de Compostela.
Task: Read a book with a significant character or author named "James" (Jim, or other derivatives are not allowed.)
The Jesus TrailThe Jesus Trail is a 65-kilometre hiking trail in the Galilee region of Israel which connects important sites from the life of Jesus as well as other historical and religious sites. The Jesus Trail offers pilgrims the experience walking in the footsteps of Jesus.

Start - Nazareth
Nazareth is most well-known for being the childhood home of Jesus.
Task: Read a book with a house on the cover.
Checkpoint 1 - Cana
Cana is the traditional site of the wedding feast where Jesus performed his first miracle of turning water into wine.
Task: Read a book where a wedding takes place.
Checkpoint 2 - Kibbutz Lavi
Kibbutz Lavi is the biggest manufacturer of synagogue furniture in the world and is the perfect place to buy a Torah table or new pews.
Read a book with a pew, bench, or sofa on the cover.
Checkpoint 3 - Migdal
The modern town of Migdal is the traditional site of Magdala, the town of Mary Magdalene, a follower of Jesus. The name Magdala comes from the word for “tower” and probably referred to towers used for drying fish caught in the Sea of Galilee.
Task: Read a book with a significant character or author named "Mary".
Checkpoint 4 - Mount of Beatitudes
The Mount of the Beatitudes is the traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount, which contains a passage known as the Beatitudes.
Task: Read a book with "Bless", "Blessed", "Blessing" in the title or subtitle.
Finish - Capernaum
There are numerous references to Capernaum in the New Testament including the healing of the Centurion’s servant, driving out of a demon, healing of a paralytic, as well as other healings.
Task: Read a book that has a medical doctor or nurse as the main character.

Start - Zagreb
Zagreb is the capital of Croatia. On the St. Mark's Square are the seats of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
Task: Read a book with a character or author has the name Mark.
Checkpoint 1 - Ptujska gora
Ptujska gora is a village in northeastern Slovenia. A popular activity here is for pilgrims to visit the gothic church in the village.
Task: Read a book that has a tag of "gothic" on the main book page. This list may help you identify a book to fit this task. Remember, "gothic" must show on the main book page.
Checkpoint 2 - Postojna Caves
Our pilgrimage needs to include a grotto. While the cave system is 24 km long, only 5 km is open to the public. Of this, 3.5 km is traversed by a train that takes visitors through the cave. Some pilgrimage that utilizes a train in a cave?
Task: Read a book with a train on the cover.
Checkpoint 3 - Opatija
Opatija is a Croatian coastal town on the Adriatic Sea. A fashionable resort in the 19th century, it's dotted with Habsburg-era villas.
Task: Read a book where the character goes on holiday to a beach resort.
Checkpoint 4 - Medjugorje
The pilgrimage site in Medjugorje is dedicated to Our Lady of Medjugorje. The story of Our Lady of Medjugorje began on 24th of June 1981 when six local children allegedly saw Virgin Mary while walking on a hill that rises above the village. After that day, they began to have daily apparitions.
Task: Read a ghost story. "Ghost(s)" must be tagged on the main book page.
Finish - Dubrovnik
Dombrovnik is a city in southern Dalmatia, Croatia, by the Adriatic Sea. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. It is a popular location to film movies. Part of The Game of Thrones and Starwars were filmed there.
Task: Read a book that was made into a movie.
