p e r s o n a l i t y ;( I ) t takes more than wishful thinking to get Reyna to crack a smile. Reyna's face is often stoic, refusing to betray an inkling of her thoughts to those around her. She has a quiet, yet fierce way about her - the type of person that you'd never want to cross, even on a good day. She interacts with only those she has to, preferring to spend her days isolated. Underneath it all, she harbors immense guilt for what her job entails, although this is a fact that she would never admit. She believes that the mental blocks procured from her childhood have reemerged, only as an adult. She is too afraid to step out of line - to dare to say that something might be wrong with her, mentally. She derives outward pleasure from her job, ordering particularly gruesome, memorable arrays be set up for the Games. She adores the Games, known to be too vicious, care too much about the wins and losses.

( R ) eyna was born into an affluent family in the Capitol. She lived a very peaceful, steady life, all while being groomed into the perfect gamemaker. She spent much time with her father, Elvis Avalon, who had strong ties throughout the districts, ensuring that she got the best education she could for what she wanted in the end. Because of this Reyna spent much time away from home, travelling often from one school to the next. This bred a low, fuming hatred, as it reached a point very quickly to where it wasn't about what Reyna wanted with her life- it was with what her father wanted to do about it. Elvis used her life as if it were his own, determined to clasp onto something tangible and steady, something that his own hands never had until recently he could finally set up the dream life that he wanted. Her mother died when she was very young, thus explaining why the influence that her father had on her was so strong and cutthroat

p e r s o n a l i t y ;( C ) ora is rather brash and sarcastic, unforgiving with her humor. She is comfortable making others the butt of the joke in order to make herself look better. Cora finds peace within loud, out of control moments, as those are the ones that allow her to melt away the easiest. She has a quick temper that flares up due to seemingly minute details. She is rather messy outside of a freshly made bed every morning. She makes hand-to-hand combat her personality, preferring to practice her skills often.

( C ) ora's parents were determined to give her the best life, regardless of what was thrown at them. Her family was rather well off, with Cora as their only daughter. Her father worked as a software developer. He would often spend the excess money to get her gadgets of her own, wanting her to learn to love to build. And so, that's one of her greatest advantages. Through many years, patience, and careful guidance, Cora was crafted into an extremely well practiced builder. She is adept in picking materials that hold up well against the constraints of the task at hand and her brain truly serves as a canvas - she requires nothing to be drawn out, simply resting on her own imagination and ideas. She has been able to find comfort in her mistakes, at least in her solitude, as she is able to see the beauty in such an uppity culture. Her family is well-connected, which only made her being chosen all of the more shocking. Her mother and father held her closely, willing tears not to spill out as their only daughter was sent to fight in the games..for her life.

p e r s o n a l i t y ;( I ) mogen, although originally extraordinarily shy and subdued, has grown into their skin. They still can appear this way when in situations, especially those that require a decent amount of social interacting. However, they open up easier to their friends, ensuring that they are their own person and establishing bonds of trust and acceptance throughout their people. Their jokes consist mainly of constant, inside jokes, those that have been tried and true. They spend the majority of their time living with their cat, Sebastian in a relatively small flat within the Capitol. They shun away from the technology at their fingertips, more so than most, to a point where it is a recognizable and undeniable trait about Imogen.

( I ) mogen lived a rather brutal life, beginning to lose people around the age of four. Her mother, having headed out to the grocery store, was involved in a freak accident involving the trolley. There was no way to describe how it happened, because in truth, her death impacted both everyone and nobody at all. Her mother, Bethie, was a nurse who worked in the infirmary tent. The sudden death in the family coupled with the deadbeat her father was, left her with no other option than to live with her great-aunt Denise. Denise was a great guardian... until she wasn't. When, at the age of twelve, Imogen made an innocent comment about questioning their sexuality, the ball began to roll. Every other comment that Denise didn't agree with was bound to start an argument. At the age of sixteen, Imogen came out as nonbinary and pansexual, much to the dismay of her family that was still living. The love of their family was much like how they felt the wind blowing around them. They knew that it was present, but it wasn't exactly influential. Then, slowly, they felt it begin to dissipate. The more in tune they became with themself, the less that others wanted to do with them, whether it be as simple as interacting or as deep as going to the mall. Imogen crafted a new person, yielding their challenges and overcoming like a shield. They're always down for a good time but refuse to let anyone close unless it's a very dear friend or they believe that there is no motive to be had.

p e r s o n a l i t y ;( A ) fter winning the Games, his entire personality came crashing down, rebuilding into what it is today. Grayson's life has been one of darkness and it shows in his mannerisms. He is often isolating from others, refusing to let people get close. He exhibits depressive symptoms on the daily and refuses to try to get better. He is a quieter soul, but when he opens his mouth, he is eloquent, although dark. He has a faint accent from somewhere people have trouble placing. He spends his time reading and drawing. His room is full of books, both literature and sketch. He works with charcoal excessively and the stains of that endeavor can be found around his room. He harbors great animosity towards the Capitol and doesn't enjoy the games - he's just waiting for another to win the games from his district so he can be done. However, he is a good trainer. He can recognize weakness and strength and he knows how to play off it. He enjoys strategy, and can often be found poring through it in some of the books that he has.

( G ) rayson was born into a middle-class family. Because they were in district two, Grayson was placed into hunger games training at a very young age. This likely was what gave him the edge that he needed to win. While others experienced academic validation, Grayson experienced a different kind of high. He felt like a different person when he was training and so he did it often. He needed the distraction even more as his sister left, as his mother died, as his father turned violent.
He made friends with the head trainer, a previous female victor in their thirties by the name of Emmy. They would often train together and run together, determined to leave reality behind.
this is the part where the trigger warning really hits in
They became close, somewhere between brother and sister and best friends. She was in a position of power over him, to an extent, and he cared about what she thought about him. Perhaps this is why, when she made a move onto him when he was seventeen, he didn't consider the fact that it was wrong. He had never excessively lusted about her; he only needed someone to be there for him. Emmy took the trust that he had placed in her and manipulated it to be what she needed it to be. Grayson attempted to cut her off, but things got out of hand one day. She pressed him against the wall, a knife immediately pressing into his throat. "You'll love me," she'd murmured softly, lips skating across his ear. Without a way out, Grayson did, until he was selected at the Reaping. In a way, the Games saved him. But in lieu of that, his self-esteem, his trust, his body were given away. When Grayson recognized that he was gay, it wasn't a shock. He thought it was likely a trauma response, however valid, to the loss he had felt at the hands of a woman.
