I live in Ohio.... this past summer and fall, i'd map out all the thrifts stores that were near one of the major cities. Then visit their sites to see IF they sold books.... that ruled out ones that just had clothes and such.

Then i'd make a map with google and plan a day's trip going to the store in order just to buy books. I'd make a day of it. Cincinatti, Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland areas... got lots of good books, normally priced from .50 to $1 each.

Stopped going to Goodwill stores... they wanted almost full price.
Next trip will be out of state...and an overnight stay since I don't care to drive at night.

What do you think??

Tom Hicks (thicks54) | 11 comments short update on prices. The lowest I've found is 0.99, but for a good condition book, $1.99
