I'm reading two books at the moment: The Sword of Kaigen, by ML Wang and "What the River Knows", by Isabel Ibáñez. And I'm enjoying them quite a lot(I need to see that cover)
ps. I got my friend Isa from Fun Fantasy Books on Youtube her first birthday present: The Children of Gods and Fighting Men... by the one and only Shauna Lawless.
Oh yay - how cool! I hope she likes and thanks for giving it as a present.
Also going to have to edit my post tomorrow. I typed too quickly! Jade War is by Fonda Lee 😊

I have the Jade trilogy on my TBR because Fonda Lee will be visiting Spain next year. I mean, I've always wanted to read her books and now I have a purpose!
I am reading The Bitter Crown, which came out yesterday. I just finish SPFBO 9 The Wickwire Watch which is now my early favorite to win. Got a soft spot in my heart for the "Young Scamp" character type and Ink nails it.
loved the wickwire watch and for me the follow ups the spider key and the blue flames are just as good.
I've heard lots of good thinks about Wickwire Watch - did it get to the final of SPFBO?
I'm now reading The Daughter's War by Christopher Beuhlman - a prequel novel to The Blacktongue Thief which is one of my favourite books of all time.
The Daughter's War is amazing so far.

I thought that's what had brought it to my attention. I'll have to add to my TBR!

I am reading Different Seasons by Steven King. Contains the shawshank redemption, Apt pupil and the body ( Stand by me )Haven't had much time to read since starting my new Jon so shortish Stories are great for now
I finished Sword of Kaigen in december (that's why I'm posting this here, in January) and I loved it. The book is quite long but its thickness is an illusion, it's a page turner, it's so complex and so rich and full of Japanese and oriental folklore and traditions (mostly Japanese)... I highly recommend it, it's a standalone but I NEED MORE.For Christmas I got "The Will of the Many", by James Islington, it was highly recommended by Petrik Leo, Isa from Fun Fantasy Books and Shauna herself <3
That's some good reading.
Last Christmas holidays I read 6 books - this year it was 1.
I've been so busy - but I do now feel very refreshed! I'm hoping that will translate into reading more books.
