Protagonist is a girl ?early teens who enters magic world through cave. She has a mark on wrist from childhood.
Spoilers:
Transpires she is from the magic world originally or has been there as a baby, mark contains magic from the world, possibly just good or white magic. Antagonist removed something like stone with magic and has claw like hand as a result, other character can absorb magic from her mark to use , like a worm under their skin as they absorb it.
Sorry very vague plot line, there may have been something about her parents being in a car crash but very uncertain about that, there was possibly also something about her using the magic to stick to stone to crawl along a ceiling!
Any ideas appreciated :)
