Esme | 14 comments Basically i just really want to discuss everyone's opinion on the new series, the pros, the cons and no one will judge lets just have an honest discussion! :)

Esme | 14 comments btw personally i am glad that this will be more accurate to the books -mostly i just want to see peeves- but it will take some adjusting to as everyone is so used to thinking of specific people when they think of certain harry potter characters! Also i really would much prefer if a series were made abt the marauders as i feel they are much more interesting and plus, we do already have a whole 8 films about the harry potter books do we really need basically the same but more accurate and with new people?

Orlando Soto Jr. (iamtrophy) | 26 comments I am super excited for it.
I am reading the books now.
Saw the movies like 394 times.

I would love more content than what the books have. I just know book fans can be toxic and might run their mouths about it "its not in the book!" blah blah.

But I love the Wizarding World so I am open to it all.

Orlando Soto Jr. (iamtrophy) | 26 comments I am scared for them. The fandom can be so toxic.... if they don't like the casting they will send so much hate comments to them....

I hope people can take a step back and just enjoy what we get.

Carissa | 1 comments I am excited about the show! I know the OG will always hold a special place in everyones hearts no matter the turn out of the series. Personally I'm excited to see the things we didn't get to the in the OG movies like Peeves! I do thing that it's either going to be amazing or completely disappointing. I just really hope they do my favorite series justice!

Sarath K P (sarathkpreman) | 11 comments I believe there is no middle ground for the upcoming series. Either Super success or failure (The fundamental problem lies with the cast, the acceptance of the cast is the crucial part) Success will be made on top of the cast because the material is so popular. They have to make the magic with their performance first, all the audience should not remember even a single bit of the movies. If it worked I believe they won. then they can move forward the show If it doesn't just drop it..

Liesel | 6 comments I don’t really know what to think about it, honestly. I’m a big fan of the books (obviously), and I also love the movies, they bring so much nostalgia. Personally, I don’t feel the need for a reboot in the form of a series. The books and films have become modern classics; they’re loved by multiple generations, and I think that will continue without another adaptation.

I think I would’ve been more excited about a Marauders spin-off or something that explores the backstories of other characters — something new within the same world, rather than retelling what’s already been done so well.

Anvesha ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ | 14 comments I don't think there was a need for the reeboot. The old movies are the OGs and nothing can replace them. This is just happening because jk was mad with the actors , it doesn't mean she will make a reboot. I am definitely not watching that. Neverr

Luffy Sempai (luffy79) | 57 comments I think the one playing Snape has the charisma of a potato. This series has disaster written all over it.

The movies were abysmal as from HBP. The latter did contain some jaw droppingly bad scenes.

Jakob Shingler | 31 comments Tbh there isn’t any reason to do the reboot/tv show for the main reason that it’s hasn’t been enough time between the movie adaptations. I get that the first movie is 24 years old but that’s not old enough for a reboot in my opinion. But I’m willing to give it a chance. All the cast decision have impressed me so far even after the casting of the big three. I feel like they cast really well for Harry, Ron and Hermoine and they have really big shoes to fill, I think they’ll do well. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Maly | 5 comments The casting was looking so good until I saw Snape. No! First Hermione in the cursed child and now Snape!

Mathilda Winter | 7 comments My mom and I have been wanting a Harry Potter show since we read the books so we are really excited

I doubt the new Snape will be any good. He has a tall order to rival his performance with Rickman's. I would rather have a black Dumbledore than a black Snape. Especially this one that they chose.
