Hello! I hope everyone has had a great reading year and found a few new favorites among the ones you read for the MLCL Challenge. Even if you don't complete the list, please post about what you were able to read, including your favorite or most surprising title read this year.

For me, nothing could quite beat the Book You Wish You Could Read Again For The First Time ~ The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, a favorite since 2nd grade. The rest of my titles are listed in the 2023 MLCL Reading Challenge folder on my GoodReads page.

Happy holidays ~ and be on the look out for the 2024 MLCL Reading Challenge, which will be shared in the next few weeks. Michele

Congrats, Sara! A terrific list (and a few more to add to my growing TBR...).

Virginia | 15 comments Unfortunately, I did not complete the 2023 challenge. I became very busy in November and December and just thought that some among the many books I read would cover most of the prompts. I was wrong. The 17 books I read are under my 2023-reading-challenge-to-read ‎list. I will try to be more clerical in the coming year.

Seventeen is still a wonderful finish ~ and hopefully you read some great books that you wouldn't have otherwise!

Virginia | 15 comments Yes, I did. That is part of the reason I am in this book club. It pushes me to get out of my typical genre. I even read a romance! I chose one I gave to my grandaughter-in-law for Christmas. Didn't like it, but read it to the end.
