*Note that this year, we will not be doing 'levels' on the majority of these monthly challenges . . . it will just be an 'I'm in!' kind of thing. The exceptions are noted with a 'level up' idea as listed below.
January ~ 'New Beginnings' ~ pick a 'new to you' author, start a new series that you've been really excited to read, or read the debut novel of a favourite author!
February ~ 'L-O-V-E' ~ read a book where at least one of the title words starts with the letters l, o, v, or e . . . or level up by reading books for all 4!
March ~ 'Luck o' the Irish' ~ read a book with a cover that's green, orange, or white, the colours of the flag of Ireland (I'd say about 70% ish of the cover needs to be one of those colours . . . it needs to be quite obvious what you're going for) . . . or level up by reading 3 books (one for each colour)!
April ~ 'Spring Clean' ~ read a book that has been on your TBR list for more than a year prior to the date of the challenge (so, anything on your TBR list before 1 April 2023 counts)!
May ~ 'Twinning' (with a twist) ~ read a book by an author that shares an initial with you, has double initials themselves (Teresa Tysinger comes to mind as an example), or has double letters in their name (ie JeNNifer Beckstrom)!
June ~ 'Wedding Belles' ~ read a book with a bride on the cover!
July ~ 'Folks in Uniform' ~ read a book where the main character is 'in uniform' . . . this can include military, but does not need to . . . for instance, a police officer, a doctor, or a chef . . . anyone whose profession brings to mind a specific uniform!
August ~ 'Paired Up' ~ read a book by a 'duo' of authors (this challenge does not include anthologies where each book is written by a single author) . . . examples could include Bodie & Brock Thoene, Tim LaHaye & Jerry B. Jenkins, Tracie Peterson & Judith McCoy Miller, etc.!
