TBR Challenge Adventure January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025
Reserving my spot here. Not sure how many I will be reading but going to throw them up here as I go. :)
Update - End of 2024
I did not keep up with this book list at all however I have a list of all the books I read for the challenge with the link below. I did the 2024 Year on Goodreads which I added everything to that list. Typing out 72 books on here would take me awhile and with my mood I am not up for it. lol

Well, hey, I'll give it a whack too. Does 50 books in two years (for me) seem doable? I guess I'll see! 😵

No worries at all! :) TBR means "to be read" books that you have been meaning to read forever and that you haven't found the time to read yet.
There is no certain number of books you have to read - you do you. You pick however many you think you want to read for this challenge or you can just number them as you go. Whatever works for you. But you have two years to do it in with no stress - just pick a spot on here and that is it.
I will link the thread in from last year to give you an idea of how it looks from our members and what they did last year into this year.

Hope that helps and good luck on your challenge! :)

You should be able to edit your comment and just add your list to the comment box. However, the Goodreads app on your phone is not user friendly at all and some people have a hard time with doing stuff on this website with the phone app.
So if you have access to a pc/laptop that might be an easier way to go. That is what I use for everything on Goodreads - I have a laptop.
Hope that helps. :)

I don't know - if it happens - it could be a GR glitch. Have you had any problems with editing your comments on here?

I just tried it through my phone app and with the kind of phone I have I cannot edit my own comments so not sure how anyone else is able to do it unless members have a smart phone which I don't own. I have just an android phone. Maybe another member knows the answer.
I always use my laptop and always have for Goodreads as normally the app doesn't work for certain things. I can look at notifications through the app or write a message with the app or comment through the app but that is about it. I cannot even add link in the book/author or use the html codes on here because of having an android phone.
Not everyone owns a smart phone so I am not sure how it works with the app. It used to be able to switch to desktop mode on the GR app but that doesn't work for me either so I just jump on my laptop and stay there. Less stress on pc/laptop. Too much anxiety for the GR app.
Whoops - lol - it looks like I went on a GR app rant! LOL Sorry about that! :)

@Marie, I’ve never been able to edit my comments but as you put it may be because of the app itself. I’ll try switching to desktop mode and see if that works. I don’t have a laptop or computer but we’ll see 😊
Marie wrote: "I just tried it through my phone app and with the kind of phone I have I cannot edit my own comments so not sure how anyone else is able to do it unless members have a smart phone which I don't own..."The problem is not the kind of phone. The problem is the GR app. You have to use the webpage.

Oh - okay. I wouldn't know really as I don't use my phone much for Goodreads - I have always been a laptop person. lol I have tried to change over to webpage on my phone and it doesn't work so I just assumed it was the phone. lol

Marie said: I have tried to change over to webpage on my phone and it doesn't work so I just assumed it was the phone.I’m not sure about Android devices, but with an iPhone, when one attempts to access the Goodreads web site using a browser, iOS will often attempt to force the user to instead use the Goodreads app. While the app (as opposed to the web site) makes better use of the limited screen real estate on a phone, it’s terribly buggy and its feature set somewhat limited. There are ways (which I unfortunately do not recall) to prevent the app from launching, but the quick (if rather drastic) fix is to simply delete the app from your phone.

Unless I am wrong and it has been changed, they do not allow you to edit your posts in the app. However, if you do it through the Goodreads website on your pc/mac/whatever then you can go back and edit the list later to fill it in.
You can also do this using desktop mode on the website using your phone.
Thank you so much for explaining this and sending me the link for last year. I would like to claim a spot please

This challenge will be starting January 1, 2024 and will run for two years to December 31, 2025.
The reason for a longer time period is to give all members a chance to knock books off your tbr within a two period instead of a one year period. Less stress for everyone with not having to worry about cramming a bunch of books into a one year timeline so I made this challenge for two years.
You can read whatever genre book you want to read for this challenge. It does not have to be limited to 'horror, fantasy and science fiction". This tbr challenge is for all books that you want to clear off of your shelves.
You can list however many books you want to read for this challenge or just list them as you go. However you want to do it to make it easy for yourself.
You do not have to create a bookshelf for this challenge like other groups do - you can just keep track here. Some people are not bookshelf collectors on this website so to make it easy for members you can keep track of what you have read here.
Please use this thread for listing out your books. If you need to take up two or three posts because you have tons of books then you may do that instead of putting all the books in one post - just reserve however many spots you think you will need for this challenge.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here for our members and we will be happy to answer your questions and help you any way we can.
Have fun everyone and Happy Reading!
