The Burnt Pine Tree Hunting Lodge is a big piece of this story! It's where Matt was murdered, investigations take place, suspects hike, and other things key to the book happen.

The Well Spring Ranch is where "the three" are taken for their first training session, and the main location on the ranch where they gather and lodge is "the main cabin".

Movie Theater
There were several scenes at the movie theater, and the movie theater played a role in the overall story line. The key event that led to all others in this book happened while the sisters were in line at the movie theater, waiting to get their tickets.
One-Room Schoolhouse
There were a few scenes inside the one room schoolhouse. But a lot of the story focused on Coras efforts and work that surrounded what happened in the one room school houses that were spread across the Appalachian Mountains in Rowan County. Her focus and work she ended up being known for was her impact in eradicating literacy and that took place in the one room school houses.
Kitchen
Several scenes happen in the kitchen of either Henry or his nieces home.

A question about the 'bed and breakfast' place . . . does it need to actually be CALLED a bed and breakfast? The book I'm reading right now (
) is about a family who runs a 'guest house' in 1819, which essentially functions as a type of bed and breakfast, though now that I think of it, bed and breakfasts are usually not for longer term stays (just for a few nights), and this one definitely takes in longer term guests?

Andrea will you take state park instead of skate park. I just read a book that the whole setting was in a state park!
A skate park is where skateboarders and BMX practice their skills. Vastly different than a state park.
However, I will accept state park for the national park category, as those are very similar.

Thanks! BTW I do know what a skate park is LOL:)
Oh good. I'm never sure who knows what, so I tend to overexplain at times. Habits from tutoring for twenty years, I suppose.

I didn't get as many as I hoped. Part of it was I kept forgetting to keep track, so I am sure there were more adventures in the books I read than I recorded.Theme Park
(Mar 6/24)Main character builds a rollercoaster for a theme park.
Wild West
(Feb 5/24)Set in Colorado in 1877... lots of cowboys and cowgirls.
National Park
(Feb 12/24)Much of the book took place in Kannery National Park Montana
Foreign City (Copenhagen)
(Jan 18/24)Beach
(Jan 11/24)In both timelines characters were in scenes on the beach near the Ocracoke Inn.
(Mar 21/24)I would say that an emergency landing of a plane on a beach was quite the adventure!
Garden
(Jan 21/24)An important scene takes place in a gazebo in a garden...
Coffee Shop
(Jan 13/24)Sadie is at a coffee shop in the very first sentence in the book!
Kitchen
(Jan 1/24)They snuck away from the ball to play a game of Snapdragon in the kitchen.
Backyard
(Jan 31/24)Many scenes in the backyard of Libby's house. Libby and Henry meet there.
I didn't do as well as I thought I would and only got 12. Trailer Park
Darby lives in a trailer park, and some of the story takes place there.
Ocean
The setting is a beach town on the ocean, and in the book Callie goes for early morning walks to the ocean, ends up connecting with someone there, and her time at the ocean becomes part of her healing process.
Cruise Ship
The RMS Carpathia was operating as a cruise ship at the time it aided in rescuing passengers from the Titanic.
Lodge
The Burnt Pine Tree Hunting Lodge is a big piece of this story! It's where Matt was murdered, investigations take place, suspects hike, and other things key to the book happen.
Cabin
The Well Spring Ranch is where "the three" are taken for their first training session, and the main location on the ranch where they gather and lodge is "the main cabin".
Foreign City (which one?)
Israel
Island
Setting is a remote North Carolina Island named Lantern Beach
Beach
Quite a bit of the crime in this book happens somewhere along the beach.
Coffee Shop
Marlene turns the old building into an ice cream shop in the summer and coffee shop that also sells baked goods in the winter.
